The Clock House

My clients had bought this double-fronted late Victorian villa as a wreck. They wanted a large family area and a space for their collection of electro-mechanical clocks. The lower ground floor was doubled in size with an extension that also embraced the raised ground floor. A dedicated clock room was lit naturally by a glass floor in the room above. The roof of the extension was designed to allow sky and garden views from the raised ground floor living rooms. The whole house was insulated and fitted with underfloor heating.
