This double fronted Listed Georgian house had been converted into offices in the 1970’s. My clients wanted it to become a home again. The interior was carefully restored. A large kitchen and numerous bathrooms were inserted without disturbing the historic fabric. I added a brick-vaulted wine cellar and designed the lanterns for the entrance sequence of rooms. A domed cedar vestibule inspired by the Breakfast Room in Sir John Soane’s house was a step too far.
